About Wang Lang

Welcome to Wang Lang, a Thai restaurant in Toronto inspired by the lively Wang Lang street market in Bangkok. The name "Wang Lang" originates from the Rear Palace of Ayutthaya, known as Wang Suan Luang, a royal residence during the Ayutthaya Kingdom. This connection to Thailand's regal history adds a unique cultural depth to our identity.

Our signature dish, the Ayutthaya Boat Noodles, embodies this heritage. It is a flavourful tradition that dates back to the historic canals of Ayutthaya, featuring a rich, herb-infused broth, and the addition of cow’s blood to enhance its deep flavour.

Our head chef, Nam Oy, hails from Ayutthaya and brings over 20 years of experience in crafting authentic Thai cuisine. She honours her roots by offering dishes that stay true to the traditional flavours.
